As the Staff Account you will assist in the cash applications, adjustments and deletions and account reconciliations. You will also provide aide to the Assistant Controller in producing, reconciling and delivering timely and accurate financial information used for company. reporting and presentation.Essential Functions:--- Applies all cash receipts, makes adjustments and/or deletions in company accounting software.--- Prepares consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing data. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.--- Prepares journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.--- Responds to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assists with internal and external audits.--- Provides assistance to both the Assistant Controller and Controller providing assistance as needed on month end processes and any special projects.--- Performs the cycle counts on company warehouse locations on a scheduled/regular basis. Ensures inventory reporting is accurate and reported accordingly.--- Punctuality and regular attendancePosition Requirements:--- 3+ years accounting/accounts payable--- High school diploma (or equivalent)--- Bachelors in Accounting (preferred)--- Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.We also conduct pre-employment drug screening in accordance with Federal Contractor regulations and background checks in accordance with State and local regulations.Physical Demands & Work Environment:--- Ability to make repetitive movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, daily--- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, hear, and speak, daily--- Move/Transport items weighing 20 pounds, occasionally--- Stand or Sit for long periods (4+ hours), daily--- Work is performed in an office environmentAt TRL Systems, we've been keeping people and their property safe for 40 years.
