They transform the economic and social future of communities by building quality, affordable housing combined with best practice social services to improve the self-sufficiency of our residents.The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in various financial tasks, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and assisting with the month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for performing various accounting functions, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting month-end close processes. Responsibilities:
    • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions
    • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
    • Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparing financial statements and schedules
    • Reconcile accounts and investigate variances
    • Manage and maintain fixed asset records
    • Assist with annual audit and tax preparation
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
