Job Description:
Anduril Industries is seeking a highly motivated Senior Systems
Engineer to lead critical test campaigns for the essential Testing
and Evaluation of Eagle Eye, the Army’s Next Generation Command &
Control (NGC2) system, the Menace Systems Family, and related
cutting-edge products. Overview In this role, you will: Define and
Drive Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive systems
engineering strategies within Anduril’s Connected Warfare Division,
ensuring that our products meet rigorous requirements and
verification standards. Collaborate Across Teams: Work directly
with business lines, engineering (both software and hardware), and
program offices to translate product requirements into tangible
engineering deliverables. Innovate with Technology: Leverage coding
skills (e.g., Python, C++, or Rust) and SysML expertise to create
and refine models, conduct analysis and simulation, and support
system-level decision making. Lead Test & Evaluation: Define test
strategies and coordinate a wide range of test events—from in-lab
simulations and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) tests to full-scale
field demonstrations—to validate both systems and software. Ensure
Compliance & Standards: Develop strategies that align with industry
standards (e.g., NATO UAV, MIL-STD-882E) and ensure our technical
roadmap is in lockstep with program and test & evaluation
milestones. Accelerate Cross-Team Projects: Proactively manage and
unblock cross-functional initiatives, resolve dependencies, and act
as the systems engineering subject matter expert across multiple
programs. What You’ll Do Plan & Lead Systems Engineering Strategy:
Define engineering strategies to drive Test & Evaluation for
flagship products like Eagle Eye, NGC2, Menace, and Soldier Borne
Mission Command (SBMC). Work closely with business lines to fully
understand product requirements and deliverables. Lead the
decomposition of systems requirements with both software and
hardware engineering teams using SysML-based solutions. Develop &
Execute Test & Evaluation Plans: Establish testing strategies that
apply appropriate modalities (from full-software simulations to
hardware-in-the-loop demos) for validating system and software
requirements. Autonomously handle broad or ambiguous requirements
from internal teams, program offices, and third-party partners,
ensuring successful delivery across multiple projects
simultaneously. Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with
product leads to scope, staff, and deliver capabilities that meet
company milestones. Collaborate with hardware, product, and test
operations teams to ensure seamless integration of the technical
roadmap with the Test & Evaluation roadmap. Identify and resolve
systemic execution issues that affect cross-team projects.
Technical Leadership & Innovation: Utilize your coding expertise to
support analysis, simulation, and system optimizations. Propose
technical alternatives when necessary and ask the critical
questions that clarify project priorities. Serve as a trusted
partner and mentor to Anduril’s engineering teams by sharing best
practices. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in
Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science,
Robotics, or a related field. Experience: 8 years in executing
Command & Control (C2) software and hardware systems testing in
both laboratory and operational settings. Demonstrated proficiency
in systems engineering concepts, requirements development, test
planning, execution, and reporting. Proven experience with
safety-critical standards, software safety fault/hazard analyses,
and requirements-driven verification and validation strategies.
Technical Proficiency: Strong background in systems engineering
with the ability to integrate SysML-based approaches. Experience
with modern engineering tools such as JAMA, Cameo, Matlab,
Simulink, and AFSIM. Hands-on experience with code-based analysis
or simulation, using languages like Python, C++, or Rust.
Familiarity with software design assessments and code reviews, and
comfortable with modern development practices including unit and
integration testing. Other: Comfortable with ambiguity, evolving
priorities, and complex problem-solving. Excellent communication
and presentation skills. Ability to work flexible hours and travel
up to 50% for field test events. Must be eligible to obtain and
maintain an active U.S. security clearance. Preferred
Qualifications 5 years of experience with programming languages
(Python, C++, Rust) for engineering analysis and simulation.
Skilled in Statistics and AI/ML applications within systems
engineering. Prior experience working with SysML/SysML2 based
solutions. Familiarity with the Department of Defense (DoD)
environment. Demonstrated experience deploying disruptive process
changes within an engineering organization. Active security
clearance is a plus. If you’re a dynamic Systems Engineer with a
passion for leading technical innovation, coding, and applying
SysML to solve complex problems, we want to hear from you. Join
