For more information, visit Falken Tire's website atwww.falkentire.com.Position Summary:The Import/Export Logistics & Compliance Manager will have broad responsibilities on a wide range of initiatives facing both external customers and various departments within Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. Responsible for the day to day management of the import logistics and customs compliance function. Maintain and renew continuous bond and drawback bond, maintain and USMCA documents. Negotiate ocean container shippers, drayage partners and portal/terminal operations to mitigate penalties and prevent delays in transit. Ongoing improvements on logistics processes including risk management programs to ensure continuity of Logistics in emergency scenarios. Develop KPI's to monitor import logistics service level, cost and performance, implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes. Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping. Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers. Work with Canadian and Mexican customs broker partners to drawback duties and coordinate logistics to import/export as needed. Review global, national or regional transportation or logistics report to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities. TheImport/Export Logistics & Compliance Manager supervises a team of import specialist responsible for customs entries and clearance, container tracking, problem resolution and cost controls.The Import/Export Logistics & Compliance Manager reports to the Sr. Vice President of Operations. Minimum Qualifications:Minimum ten (10) years of import logistics, related experience, preferably in the automotive/tire industry. A Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Operations Management or related field. Supply Chain related certificates and an MBA preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job. Must be a current Certified Customs Specialist and/or hold a Customs Broker license. Must have intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Windows: Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel. Must have proven leadership, strategic thinking, relationship building, analytical problem solving, and continuous process improvement skills. Must have excellent organizational skills, the ability to coordinate cross functional groups, verbal and written communication skills with all corporate levels.
