Job Description:

*This salaried position is for individuals seeking employment in a therapeutic spa setting that allows you to share your passion for health and wellness while continuing to focus on career development and client service excellence. The spa manager is responsible for planning, directing and overseeing the spa operations. The spa manager is also responsible for overseeing and leading the work of a group of people and cultivating a positive work environment that encourages teamwork.*

General qualification requirements are outlined below:
* Minimum (2) years of leadership and management within the retail, spa or other fields

* Proficient with managing teams of (20) plus members

* Customer-oriented with a proven track record of improving client service scores, retention and quarterly sales increases

* Experience managing inventory

* Demonstrates basic understanding of economics, budgeting, and accounting practices and principles

* General knowledge of California various employment laws and practices and employee relations

* Evidence of the ability to practice a high level of confidentiality

* Excellent organizational management skills

* Better than average written and spoken communication skills

* Professional speaking and leadership demeanour

* Potential to fulfil a full-time position up to 50 hours per week

* Able to work flexible hours with emphasis surrounding weekend days and all national holidays

* Ability in training, developing, recruiting and talent management for the betterment of the operation

* Experience with Microsoft Office, Gmail (Gsuite)

* Valid driver's license

* Reliable transportation

* Minimum of high school diploma - college experience preferred

*Your responsibilities will include all of but not limited to: *
* Leading your location by example and expecting your team to follow suit

* Creating and standardizing a cleanly and organized place of business that is inviting to all guests

* Managing a team of up to 40 employees that includes assistant managers, sales associates, massage therapists and estheticians

* Maintaining the daily well-being of your spa location through client service excellence

* Hiring, Training, developing and holding your team accountable for meeting and exceeding preset management objectives including membership sales percentages, reduction in business turned away, client and employee retention and all corporate promotions that take place throughout the calendar year

* Managing and completing proper documentation of new hire paperwork and ensuring all therapist/esthetician certificates and liability insurance is up to date.

* Delegating tasks to Assistant Manager/Sales Associate staff when appropriate.

* Competition of required reports (payroll, sales reports, etc..) while maintaining report deadlines.

* Working and communicating with lead therapists to make sure all new hires are properly trained and the current staff is refreshed on old topics or procedures and trained on new topics or procedures as necessary

* Developing bi-weekly staff schedules and managing your roster to effectively control allocated staff hours to reduce overspend on payroll to keep productivity at 85%+ for therapists and 75%+ for estheticians

* Resolving client service issues within the same day that they occur and enforcing operational procedure with your team to reduce and eliminate these occurrences

* Responding quickly and effectively to positive and negative reviews for your location

* Cultivating a team environment that drives profitability through repeat business and membership-based sales

* Responding quickly and effectively to correspondence from upper management.

* Approving payroll batches for your employees and ensuring that you are watching the operation and not overspending on unnecessary areas

* Managing spa inventory and communicating needs to corporate supervisor and franchise owner

* Manage monthly and quarterly budgets to control costs and grow the revenues of the business

* Manage local marketing events for your location and team building events

* 40-50 hours per week scheduled shifts at the spa

* Reporting directly to your supervisor or franchise owner on all deliverable items

* Other duties as assigned

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
