Gunn Psychological Services is looking for California-licensed doctoral and master's level therapists to join our exciting and rapidly growing team. We are located in Southern California, but the qualified therapist would have the option to work entirely from home. We are currently seeking therapists who work with children and/or adults. The provider would work independently, setting their own hours, determining the number of clients on their case load (some of our therapists see as few as 8 clients per week while others choose to see as many as 30+ clients per week) and working autonomously, although with the support of a full administrative team. Although we are looking for telehealth providers at this time, we have physical offices in both Pasadena, CA and Rancho Cucamonga, CA,. Therefore, in-person options are available for those therapists who are local and interested in doing in-person therapy. Therapists especially enjoy the autonomy and flexibility of working with our group. We have no billable-hours requirements, no case load requirements and no requirement to work with specific diagnoses. We do our best to understand the type of client that you feel most comfortable with and only assign you clients who meet those criteria. However, if a client assigned to you were to have struggles that are outside of your competence or comfort level, then we will work to find a new therapist for that client. We believe that your clinical intake session (i.e. the first session) is designed for the client to make sure you are a good match for them and for you to determine if you are a good match for the client. We trust your professional clinical judgment to determine if you wish to add the client to your case load. It is also worth noting that paperwork requirements are minimal. Therapists are only required to indicate to us if a session occurred, how long the session lasted and what diagnosis code is being assigned to the client. This process takes less than 10 seconds per client once the therapist is familiar with the system. Otherwise, the only paperwork requirements include basic documentation that is consistent with professional mental health practice (for example, maintaining regular progress notes). Gunn Psychological Services has been in business for over 10 years and has over 50 providers as well as multiple full-time administrative staff members. With this infrastructure, we can easily add new providers into our system and the on-boarding process is quite simple. New therapists are quickly and easily trained to utilize our online EHR and telehealth system. We require some basic information from the therapist (e.g. license number, NPI number, etc) and can have the new therapist seeing clients as quickly or as slowly as they would like. For providers who want to get started right away, we can typically onboard them and have them seeing clients in as little as two weeks. This position would be available to any LCSW, LMFT or psychologist who is licensed in the state of California. License-eligible providers may also apply. Unfortunately, we do not offer supervision at this time so are unable to take unlicensed providers who are seeking clinical hours towards their licensure.
