Job Requisition ID: 4839 Position Summary/Position Under the direction of the Data Quality & Reporting Manager, the Data Quality & Reporting Supervisor will assist management with ensuring the efficiency of report design, maintenance, ad-hoc data analyses, and new report development. The DQR Supervisor is also responsible for providing technical, and analytical support and guidance for DQR Team Members and Data Integration projects, coaching and guiding productivity and performance of DQR Team Members. providing supervisory oversight to the operational reporting team supporting the Core Business Systems report development and maintenance. responsible for developing and maintaining data dashboards, reports, and data reporting structures, as well as defining, analyzing, and reporting business and ad hoc requirements. Supervisory oversight includes but is not limited to ensuring consistent methodology is used on standard requests, ensuring assigned projects are completed in an accurate and timely manner. Works with Core Business Systems department to set and monitor goals, objectives and performance metrics that tie to IEHP vision, mission, and strategic plan. Partner with Core Business Systems Management teams to understand reporting needs and effectively communicate these requirements to the Reporting team to ensure timely project completion.Supervisor requires an understanding of highly complex technical and analytical work, and must be able to understand relational database concepts, table design and structure, data normalization, and apply that knowledge to IEHP business rules. A strong understanding of data flow in healthcare domain, interoperability, and data integration is desired. Position is responsible for representing the Core Business Systems team in the Data Governance Subcommittee and support various data improvement initiatives within CBS as well as in collaboration with other business units throughout the organization.The DQR Supervisor must have a strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), various data tools such as PowerBI, ThoughtSpot, and DataOps. Must also be able to navigate MediTrac Queue Viewer, MediTrac HSP Admin, and Uniflow, Claims, MediTrac Workflow, UM, and Provider screens. Incumbent must also be familiar with the Claims load and other batch loading wizards, events, and operational reports.Major Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) 1. Assist in the development of ad-hoc and standard monthly reports using Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS and MS Power BI, audit the data, research, and correct discrepancies, and produce and review reports.2. Use advanced SQL programming and/or Power BI skills to develop and implement system improvements to ensure processing efficiency and continuous improvement of current processes.3. Ensure the Core Business Data Quality and Reporting Team follows DQR standards and protocols for completing break-fixes, troubleshooting, and SQL query optimization for existing reports and development of new requests. Create new, enhance/maintain existing DQR guideline documents, as necessary.4. Manage the individual and team Workfront Queues using the standard process for pulling work tickets to be completed within the units SLA.5. Exercise timely and accurate data mining techniques and develop new or modify existing methodologies to perform comprehensive data analysis.6. Collect and organize productivity and performance data and assist in ensuring that any process defects or issues with team productivity metrics are identified, addressed, and corrected.7. Collaborate with IT to set up, analyze, and test new systems/programs/product lines/applications.8. Provide information to Management by summarizing data, preparing reports, and making presentations of findings and recommendations.9. Oversee the analysis and reporting functions in support of operational business units of a healthcare business office. 10. Assess requests to determine users needs and objectives by Analyze requirements for custom reports and ensuring the delivered report is accurate, timely, and formatted appropriately.11. Provide analytical support to Core team/unit and use advanced analytical skills to assist in the tracking and monitoring of productivity and performance metrics.12. Promote teamwork and maintain effective working relationships with others throughout the organization.13. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of data provided on all reports delivered by the Core Reporting team.Supervisory Responsibilities Leader: Administers Hires, Terminations, and Performance ReviewsExperience Qualifications Five (5) years of experience in a managed care or health plan setting in a reporting or analytic capacity. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis, reporting and verification with the demonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a management or supervisory role within an operational setting required.Preferred Experience Experience with Medicaid/Medicare programs is desired. Project management experience with demonstrated ability to lead others to achieve specific goals and outcomes preferred.Education Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited institution required.Knowledge Requirement Healthcare Industry knowledge. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements and transactions (such as 834,274, 270/271, 837, etc.). Understanding of government and State agencies requirements and regulations. Good working knowledge of SQL, SSRS, Excel, and Business Intelligence software or applications. SQL, SSRS, PowerBI, DataOps, ThoughtSpot, Natural Language Processing, Access, Advanced Excel. General knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within managed care. Skills Requirement Must have exceptional communication skills and be comfortable presenting information throughout all levels of the organization. Organizational skills, critical thinking skills, and analytical and advanced data visualization skills are a must. Advanced knowledge with database query tools with advanced knowledge of microcomputer applications. Ability to research and analyze data and make sound recommendations.Demonstrated analytical skills to prepare and analyze business plans and technical designs required. Ability to research, audit, and analyze routine data to develop basic and/or enhanced reports. Demonstrated proficiency in tools used to create actionable information from disparate data sources. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Advanced problem solving and organizational skills. Exhibits strong leadership skills and fosters a positive teamwork environment.
