On-Boarding Specialist

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Assists with the recruiting, tracking and interviewing of prospective candidates through Company talent management platform
  • Assists with entering new hires and terminations into an appropriate software system
  • Assists with scheduling meetings and interviews as requested by the HR Manager.
  • Performs phone interviews for open positions as necessary
  • Prepares and sends emails and follow up letters throughout the process.
  • Prepares new employee files.
  • Maintains records of personnel-related data in paper and database files to ensure all employment requirements are met.
  • Assists with managing overall Human Resources compliance with state and federal requirements as assigned
  • Assists with processes the Verification of I-9 documentation and maintains database.

Qualifications:

General Qualifications:

  • 5+ years related administrative experience, or generalist role
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Advanced computer skills including the use of Windows and the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Working experience and general knowledge of benefit plans.
  • Experience with Ulti and/or other HRIS and Payroll systems highly preferred.
  • Ability to interact effectively with supervisors, employees, and external vendors.
  • Advanced math skills including accounting preferred.
  • Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.
  • Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.
  • Eligible to work in the United States

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree in Human Resources related field required (Bachelor's preferred).

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents and communicate effectively in English.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Computer Skills:

Advanced computer skills including the use of Windows and the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

No certifications needed.
