this job, you will work with the Principal Manager of the
Government and Institutions team within Business Customer Division
(BCD) to provide service and drive SCE's clean energy goals with
large and complex hospital, medical facility, and federal
customers. In this position, you will be responsible for resolving
immediate issues threatening customer's ability to provide critical
and life-saving medical care 24/7. The Advisor will also provide
consultative sales and marketing of electric energy programs and
services in support of customer goals and SCE program
goals/strategy. The Key Accounts Advisor consults with customers to
assess their business needs and requirements, and identifies
valuable company programs, services, and/or innovative solutions to
address their needs. The individual balances and translates
customer focused support activities into BCD key performance
indicators including Customer Satisfaction, Demand Side Management
(DSM), Distributed Energy Services, and Building and Transportation
Electrification. As an Advisor, your work will help power our

- Establish and maintain long-term business relationships with
key account customers' executive management and technical staff to
consult, recommend, negotiate, and drive enrollment/participation
in SCE programs and solutions, and resolve sensitive customer care
issues. Customer interactions are a mix of both in-person and
video/telephone-based interactions.
- Assess the organizational, strategic, and process implications
of the client organization to develop appropriate and practical
recommendations or solutions to energy and sustainability issues.
Continuously monitor and assess the competitive environment and
industry in order to effectively navigate market dynamics and
maintain effective customer business plans for key customers.
- Prepare an annual strategic and implementation plan for
assigned key customers consistent with the BCD business plan and
strategic intent of SCE. Maintain up to date system records
including customer profiles and account management activity (e.g.,
opportunities, activities, tickets).
- Maintain routine internal contact with direct manager to
provide updates on assigned key customers and receive new
information about SCE offerings and services; discuss market
intelligence.
- Provide functional direction and direct work of
cross-functional project teams, usually highly complex and
technical in nature (e.g., Subtrans), involving company personnel
(T&D, CS, LPA, etc.) to address customer/company issues.
- Work with external partners, local government, partnerships,
highly influential and/or politically involved industry/trade
associations including Hospital Association of Southern California
(HASC), on issues to deliver company programs and activities that
serve the needs of this key customer segment. A key responsibility
of this activity includes collaboratively resolving issues both
internally and externally, often of a contentious nature, while
preserving constructive relationships. (ex, outages impacting
hospitals). Qualifications
The essentials
- Seven (7) or more years of experience supporting customer
account management, sales, and/or marketing.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in clean energy or
sustainability.
- Experience with utility programs and services for business
customers. The preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in business or related field.
- Experience managing a sales pipeline, including identifying
trends and developing strategies to increase customer participation
in available programs and/or services.
- Broad knowledge and experience with DSM and renewable
technologies and their economics.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including
presentation skills to effectively communicate and interact with
customers and internal partners. You should know
- This position's work mode is hybrid. The employee will report
to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work
remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees
are required to reside in the state of California. Further details
