Overview:

Successful Entry-level Plastic Injection Molding Machine Operator candidates must have an interest in learning to operate injection molding machines.

All candidates must adhere to strict safety standards while ensuring the highest quality of work is completed efficiently and timely.

Responsibilities:

• All phases of operating include but are not limited to: loading and unloading of raw materials and products, observing machine operation, labeling, and weighing of products.
• Monitor injection molding machine throughout shift.
• Inspection of each product for quality outcome.
• Properly box and label products for transportation.
• Learn to use and calibrate a triple beam scale.
• Learn to start up, operate, and shut down machinery.
• Learn to safely handle, mix and measure raw production materials
• Working in congested areas
• Maintain visual and audible contact with other crews and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement
• Perform general operation work under directions of Supervisor
• Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies.
  Qualifications:
  
  • Basic knowledge of and ability to operate machinery and equipment in a safe manner
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, etc.
    
    Requirements
    
    Physical Requirements:
    
    • Must be able to perform the above for at least 8 hours per day 5 days per week. May be asked to work over-time; after-hours; on weekends for emergencies or on-call.
    • Duties outlined in this position will require the employee to stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and arms to spaces both high and low. The employee will be standing, walking, climbing, balancing, lifting, holding, or stooping while on the shift.
    • Ability to work while wearing closed-toe shoes
    • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions which can include but is not limited to extreme heat and cold temperatures
    • Employees in this job classification may be exposed to dust or other airborne pathogens.
    • Must be able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly as needed with or without assistance
