Women encouraged to apply.--SUMMARY: The Sanitation Technician is responsible for maintaining sanitation of bottling lines and facility as required.--ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.--- Using common maintenance machine and hand tools--- Remove, clean and reassemble plant equipment and conveyors--- Must maintain maintenance records of equipment in accordance with cleaning program--- Monitor wastewater system--- Follow lock-out/Tag-out procedures--- Consider all safety precautions and proper isolation of live circuits--- Take proper care of tools and equipment--- Utilize personal safety procedures when performing job duties, ensure that equipment is operating safety and has returned all safety guards--- After training, may be required to handle hazardous waste accumulation--- Temporary job assignments to other shifts and/or departments may be required to maintain production--- Work with hot water, pressure washers and steam systems--- Must maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area--- Responsible for food product quality and safety--- Mop, Sweep, Clean all office, breakroom, and restroom areas--EDUCATION--- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.--- Technical, trade school courses or certification, a plus.--EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS--- Must be proficient in use of handheld tools, such as hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.--- Must have general knowledge of electrical test equipment such as multi-meters and ammeters--- Good writing, reading. Comprehension and oral communication skills are necessary--- Must be proficient in the operation of equipment, such as scissor lifts, forklifts, and electric lifts--- Must have working knowledge of computers--- Job involves being on the feet most of the time with considerable lifting, pulling, and carrying. Frequently, incumbent may have to crawl over or under equipment to clean.--- Duties are performed with some exposure to noise, lubricants, chemicals and occasionally hot or cold working conditions--- Must be able to work weekends, overtime as required--- Must be able to occasionally lift a minimum of 50 pounds or occasionally with assistance lift items weighing over 50 pounds--- Must be able to work well with co-workers--- Ability to read (in English), write (in English), add and subtract--- Ability to work in high temperatures, working at heights up to 6', and exposure to strong smell--
