Job Description Job Description Under the direction of the Sales
Manager, a Sales Representative for Pacific Beverage Co. assures
attainment of designated sales objectives and effective
distribution of assigned products by carrying out the duties and
responsibilities selling, servicing and merchandising PBC products
to accounts on assigned route Pay: $23.50 Work Location: Must be
located and be able to work in the Oxnard/Santa Barbara region.
Responsibilities: Assumes responsibility for the following
activities that make up a retail sales call: Walks account to look
for sales opportunities. Checks point of sale (POS) advertising to
ensure it is current, operational, and in good condition. Checks
stock rotation, and stocks shelves as necessary. Conducts full
rotation of account on a 4 week cycle following supplier code date
policies. Checks prices on selling shelves. Offers suggestions for
increasing sales of assigned products, such as selling
merchandising concepts (including but not limited to floor
displays, permanent POS material, product promotion, and night and
happy hour promotions). Improves package position via cooler
resets. Takes sales order via handheld and merchandising
instructions on work order. Fills out daily point sheet to track
retail execution. Pursues non-buying accounts to achieve maximum
targeted distribution. Assists other branch personnel in
identifying, selling, and/or developing targeted accounts in
assigned territory. Adheres to service day schedule and route
orders developed by Sales Supervisor. Assumes ultimate
responsibility for code dates of product in accounts. Complies with
the rules and regulations set forth by the California Alcohol and
Beverage Control (ABC). Communicates to the Sales Supervisor all
pertinent information and changes affecting assigned accounts,
including competitive activity. Communicates to assigned accounts
pertinent information including but not limited to, advertising,
prices, company and brewery special programs and sales trends.
Develops a working knowledge of credit policies, reports credit
problems or complaints, adjusts sales and deliveries in light of
credit procedure and/or policy applies to that account. Lifts
product weighing 40 to 170 pounds (cases and kegs) on a repeated
basis. Assists in training new personnel. Reports all accidents
involving driver or company equipment in accordance with company
safety policies. Complies with federal and state safety regulations
and with Company safety policies and procedures. Performs
additional duties as required, assigned, or delegated. What

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or
one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience. Demonstrated ability to
use a hand-held order entry system to obtain account information
and place an order. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general
business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures,
or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from groups of managers,
clients, customers, and the general public. Spanish and Korean
language knowledge is helpful. Ability to calculate figures and
amounts such as discounts, margins, commissions, proportions, and
percentages. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a
variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Valid California driver's license and driving record in accordance
with company established guidelines. Thorough knowledge of products
sold by PBC and Anheuser-Busch code date policies. The physical

This position requires extensive driving. While performing the
duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or
hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit;
reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The
employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and
